Walking Inspiration

It’s no secret that I love shoes. While I’m no Imelda Marcos, I’m pretty sure that I could be given the budget. I’m the type of gal who could easily become Toni Collette’s character from In Her Shoes… the one with the closet full of heart-stoppingly stunning shoes and no where to wear them. I had my shot as the proprietress of an accessories boutique and did manage to acquire some pretty stunnings pairs [including the unbeatable Shaun, from Tashkent by Cheyenne] that I had plenty of excuses to wear while playing the role of downtown NY-er. Now that I’m back to my original role as Maine gal, it’ll be increasingly difficult to indulge in some of these styles and sadly, I’ll likely be doing most of my admiring from afar.

One of my old clients once said that she builds an outfit from the shoes up. Her fashion belief was that great style begins with a fabulous pair of shoes. She was clearly a genius. I find the following both bold and swoon-worthy and would challenge any of you fashionistas to build your outfit from these beauties on up! Happy styling;).
