dress me up

Long before Clarabella came to be (well… months, anyway) a dear friend of mine introduced me to Ms. Ashley Hanosh. Ashley is a San Fran transplant, originally hailing from New Mexico. She comes from a family of entrepreneurs and had it in her head that she would be next. She has impeccable style, a penchant for wearing dresses, and a fantastic nickname. In the late part of 2006 the aptly named Honey in the Rough opened its doors in NY’s Lower East Side.

From the beginning, Ashley was a confidant… someone else in the business who gave me advice and listened to my entrepreneurial woes. She also flashed me a smile and directed me to the perfect dress nearly every time I stepped through her door. I’m fairly certain she did that with everyone;). She’s got an uncanny ability to know what looks good on a client better than the client herself.

Long a destination for innovative dress designers and of-the-moment jewelry designers, Honey in the Rough can now be enjoyed by fashion savvy women far and wide. Just yesterday her lovely little online shop announced the arrival of dresses!! I’ve already picked out my favorites, but I can’t say I’ll make a purchase until I get Ashley’s expert opinion because in dealing with dresses, she is always right!
