the great swimsuit search

Oh… the swimsuit. I’m a huge fan of shopping and this darling little necessity is my least favorite thing to shop for. I’ve spent far too many trips to department stores and sample sales, looking for that perfect suit: the one that will miraculously cinch in my waist, perk up my bum and generally turn me into a super model. Shockingly, I never found such a gem. After too many years of torture in tiny dressing rooms with that horrible flourescent lighting that actually makes me look even more pale than my Irish heritage dictates, I took to the web. Now I peruse from the comfort of my own home, browsing through suit after suit, envisioning myself lounging by the lakeside, looking like a beauty queen. Hee hee;). Seriously though, shopping for a swimsuit is so much nicer online. You can pick ones that you like, order them up, and have the opportunity to try on your new prize in front of your strategically placed, slightly tilted (and therefore) slimming) mirror. Bliss.

I’m still somewhat partial to J. Crew suits for their simplicity, but my latest staple is by Eberjey. I even own a few from (gasp) Victoria’s Secret. They’re not as pricey as some and occasionally cater to the ever so slightly more well endowed. I’ve taken the liberty of trolling through my favorite sites to pick out a few suits I find particularly eye-catching. Maybe you’ll find yourself perusing this site, envisioning yourself by the lakeside, looking like a beauty queen… Happy summer to all you ladies!

So, should you end up deciding to go that route, keep an eye out for a new post early next week:). Have a fab weekend lady!
