2 fresh threads

My mom is a cook. She even used to teach gourmet cooking lessons in our little town of Naples. She grew up with some pretty amazing Italian chefs in the family (missing you Grandpa) and followed suit. She was often found in the kitchen during my youth and serious cooking days required serious cooking threads. A quick peek at the back of her pantry door reveals a pile of aprons, playfully dangling from a single hook. They are multicolored, patterned, thick, thin, retro, functional, and more. It sometimes seems like not many people in my generation wear a good apron while cooking, but I love them. It’s a family legacy, so what can I say?;) They can be a fashion statement, as proven by my friend Annie who was once on a mission to bring them into everyday wear. She amassed a nice little collection of retro and brightly patterned ones.

With that said, I’m happy to tell you about 2 fresh threads. I first learned of this fabulous company through Christina, designer extraordinaire. We sit next to each other at least 3 days out of the week and I’m hoping that some of her creativity rubs off on me. 2 fresh threads is the brainchild of Christina and Tracy… creative ladies, partners in crime, and good friends. I’m hoping that I’ll get to introduce you to them in a bit more detail someday, but for now, I couldn’t resist an introduction. You see… the Yarmouth Clam Festival starts today and these two fabulous ladies will be there all weekend displaying brightly colored gorgeous aprons (reversible!!!), baby bibs, coasters and even a new line of clutches! I’ll be popping by on Sunday to get my fix, but if you’re a Mainer, I’d encourage you to swing by and take a peek for yourself. What you’ll see below is only a teaser. If you’re not a Mainer, keep a close eye on their etsy shop. I suspect that there will be more items added soon!

Best of luck to Christina and Tracy this weekend! I hope the sun shines all days and your visitors are many!
